Honor Monaco is a vocalist and violinist earning her degree in improvisation. At Mills, she also delved into the subject of film music and developed an interest in songwriting. Her interest in music originated with her mother, who exposed her to many genres of music exemplified by iconic artists. Honor played classical violin until she graduated high school. Afterwards she stopped playing almost entirely, until she discovered her voice in improvisation during the last semester of her undergraduate degree at Mills. She shifted away from her planned career path in anthropology and turned to music. Now at the end of her graduate degree, Honor is confident in pursuing a career in music and is excited for the next chapter of her life.
